Cabárceno Nature Park
Cabárceno Nature Park is a man-made safari-style natural space where animals live in semi-liberty. It is home to over 120 species of animals from around the world, housed in large enclosures designed to replicate their natural habitats, allowing visitors to observe them without compromising their freedom.
It is located near the town of Cabárceno, nestled in the Peña Cabarga mountain range, and just 17 kilometres form Santander.

Altamira caves
The Altamira caves are a natural cavity in a rock that preserves one of the most important pictorial cycles of prehistory. They are part of Altamira Cave and Paleolithic Rock Art of Cantabrian Cornice, declared as UNESCO World Heritage.
The paintings and engravings in the cave date back to the Magdalenian and Solutrean periods, with some traces also from the Gravettian period and the early Aurignacian.

One of the most popular attractions is the cable car, which takes you from the valley floor to the top of the Picos de Europa. During the ascent, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.
